It would have been interesting to also get the white STUDENT perspective of the black students on campus, rather than just a university official — you are, after all, a student newspaper – but that’s a minor issue. Also, what measures does the school take to try to recruit non-athlete black students and other minorities? How do they compare to other schools? Has there been any examination, discussion or study of those recruiting efforts either internally or externally?
