A 68-year-old North Idaho man was killed in an auto-pedestrian accident this afternoon at Spokane County Raceway. The accident happened about 1:30 p.m. on the track’s road course, where the man, a contractor, was talking with the park’s General Manager Jay Livingston off the track. A 46-year-old military retiree driving an Infinity G30 apparently lost control coming out of a curve and struck at least one of them/Mike Prager, SR. More here. And: KREM2 video.

Sounds like Bucky might be looking at some liability here. For the sake of the track, I hope he has some good insurance coverage.

No question that the family/estate of the deceased will go after the deep pockets here, the TAXPAYERS of Spokane County, which will end up paying. Another reason this boondoggle is a complete waste of taxpayers’ funds.

I agree completely “Spokelooneh” the lawyers
will be beating the family/estate door down to
get a piece of this action.
Spokane county after they bought this property
should have immediately split off what they wanted
to keep and divested itself of this legal white elephant
know as Spokane Raceway Park. Just like you said,
spokane county taxpayers will probably get a hit on
this one……

I also have concern for the driver of the sports car
who was just out enjoying his sport in what should
have been a safe and controlled environment.
It must be awful to know that you accidentaly killed
someone, my heart goes out to him. I also hope he
has a BIG umbrella liability insurance policy.
