This certainly won’t help improve race relations in Cda.

CPD Blue it’s time to get the gang-bangers out of town.

Mic ‘n Macs — what a dive.
The downtown CDA scene has become littered with scumbags the past few years.
I used to be all about hitting up that part of town. Not so much anymore, though, even when I come up to visit.
My heart goes out to the victim’s family.

Our car store was located right next to Mic n Macs for about 10 years, or as long as they had been open. About once or twice a year, I would get a call from the police in the wee hours telling me someone had gone through our front glass window. That, along with all the beer bottles and trash they left was one reason we moved. The other reason is that from Indiana north, the city allows all day street parking. It is only 2 hour parking south of Indiana. The beauty college gals would arrive early and park their cars, all day, all around the car store. It was difficult for us to find parking let alone our visitors and customers.

This kind of incident is really awful, and my thoughts go out to the family of the victim. I’m dreading the reveal of his name in case it’s someone I know.
I’m not sure it’s a good idea to jump to the conclusion that the perp was a “gang banger” because he was Hispanic.
Anyway, Mik-n-Mac’s kicked these people out of the bar hours before the incident, which occurred two blocks away from there. They really have nothing to do with it.
For some reason this report leaves out the fact that the Torch is where the gunman and his pals were hanging out right before the incident, but this morning I talked to someone who was there, and apparently that was the case. If any bar should take the heat for this, it’s the Torch, which is REALLY a dive where they tend to over-serve and where security is notoriously lax.
I haven’t seen an actual fight inside or directly outside MnMs in ages. The wild crowd there has diminished quite a bit, now it’s just a bunch of respectful regulars and not so much riff-raff as years past.
We tried to talk Rita the owner into moving Mik-n-Mac’s into hmoffsuite’s old space, but she won’t because of the potential for smashed windows, LOL.

Just another case of people who shouldn’t have guns killing someone with a gun. Guns don’t kill people…people with guns kill people. What I don’t get tho, is that these people don’t stop to think that, “if I kill this person, I will be in a whole lotta trouble.” Doesn’t that go thru their minds? I guess not…

OTV I am behind you 100% I talked to a real good friend of some 20 years that works at Mik and Mac’s and they didn’t have to deal with anything last night. It all happend downtown at other bars. They are putting the blame on a good bar that is safe and fun. Instead of the ones that cause the problems like the “Torch”

I need to clarify something. Tim used his mother’s maiden name, Wolfe. Tim was known as Timothy Wolfe.
Tim was a member of the Coeur d’Alene Tribe. The Tribe is deeply sadden by this senseless tragedy. He was was loved by everyone and he will be deeply missed.

I have to apolagize because I am going off on things that really have no significant considering a life was taken. I am sorry for him and my condolences to the family and friends of the said subject.

What “Shellzbellz” said is right to the point and I
also apolagize for my petty nit picking on accuracy.
Even though it is important it is truly insignificant
when place against the lost of a human life.
Timothy Wolfe RIP

I remember Tim back in high school, as we both competed in the same conference (North Star League). He was a baby-faced, two-sport stalwart for Lakeside. Nice guy, too.
Terrible, terrible tragedy.
