JimmyMAC: Just got back from the opening of the Kroc Center. Tonight’s opening
was for
donors. The Coeur Group, of which I am a member, served as tour
guides and ushers for tonight’s festivities. All I have to say is that
we are blessed beyond belief with this community center. It will serve
such a wonderful purpose for everyone. I sincerely and wholeheartedly
urge any of the critics to go visit it with an open mind and heart
because the energy and feeling you get that lives will be touched is overwhelming.
Question: When did you last hear someone criticize the Kroc Center?

While, the Kroc Center will be a good addition to the community,
ya tend to get the feeling that J-Mac would rubberstamp anything the city or that other group does.Who cares that it’s hard to drive CDA streets anymore, because they’re so crowded.Ramsey Rd. has become its own Hwy and I’ll be down to the Kroc Center in a New York minute.

Kage Mann, even you would be pleased with this facility. Last nights donor tour/presentation was a wonderful event surrounded by many who opened their wallets to help.

Kagemann,
Beg your pardon? There were times when I questioned the Kroc Center as well. The Salvation Army’s mission is engrained in the center. It will serve as a safe, positive place for children and teenagers to go to. It will serve as a place where families can bond together and enjoy one another. It caters to the handicapped, elderly, etc and no one will be denied access. Personally, I think these benefits outweigh a congested Ramsey Road hands down.
