This undated file photo provided by the U.S. Postal Service shows the five 44-cent postage stamps featuring The Simpsons portraying from left, Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie. The price of a first-class stamp will climb to 44-cents, though folks who planned ahead and stocked up on Forever stamps will still be paying the lower rate. (AP Photo/USPS, File) Question: Does the USPO use of the lovable Simpson characters to introduce its lates rate hike make the increase more pallatable for you?

I think it’s a miracle that I can invest 44 cents in a little square or rectangle with a sticky back side and by putting it on an envelope the contents will get to my mom or to Verizon or to the IRS or wherever I might be sending it.
This small increase doesn’t need to be made palatable to me.
And, yes, I’m old enough to remember when the cost of postage stamp was in the single figures.

In the immortal words of Homer, “Doh!”

I just wish the service would bounce back. I used to be really impressed with the service. Now it sucks!
I received my April and May Cosmo subscriptions Friday before last. June’s issue showed up the following Monday.
My mom sent DH a birthday card at the end of March. He received it at the end of April.
Our mail used to arrive around 10:30 in the morning. Now I’m lucky if it’s here by 2:00 when I leave.

Bart Simpson might tell us, “Don’t have a cow, man”, regarding the next inevitable Postage Increase. Of course, postal rates might just go up so much one day that it’ll be cheaper for us to hand-deliver our bills.

It’s always worth the price, as I have never had any problem with something getting through. Americans complain about every little thing, and like I always like to say, a very young handicapped person that I drive around on a daily basis reminds me of my so called little problems, “poor baby”. I will always hold that dear to my heart.
