Tofu is fine in salad.. but just be careful with how soy you intake.. it’s got a chemical in it that increases progesterone and estrogen production in the human body. This isn’t a bad thing, but too much of anything can throw things out of balance.
Put a large block of tofu in a pot of cold water Add live eels Put water on the stove above a medium flame As the water heats, the eels will seek refuge in the Tofu where they will cook Give it to somebody
Tofu is only good if it is deep fried, as it is in several traditional Asian dishes. No doubt the deep frying cancels out the health effect. But it still tastes good. Especially with peanut sauce. Tofu any other way, most especially when it is trying to pretend to be, oh, say, ricotta cheese in lasagna or cream cheese in cheesecake or meat in just about anything; is nasty. But that’s just my opinion. Obviously a lot of other people feel differently. Either that, or they are trying to convince themselves that they do. And Toad is right: soy is NOT the wonder nutrient it has been made out to be. Too much is not a good thing. Words to the wise for those who swill soy milk like water. Or worse give large quantities of soy milk to growing children (as some people that I know of do)

Here’s my favorite tofu recipe:
Tofu with Eels
Put a large block of tofu in a pot of cold water
Add live eels
Put water on the stove above a medium flame
As the water heats, the eels will seek refuge in the Tofu where they will cook
Give it to somebody

Tofu????? YUCK!!!!!!!!!!
My lovely wife of 30 years eats tofu at least twice a day. Being asian,,,, she has recipes galore.
A bite of tofu once a year is about my limit……………I’d rather eat a bug!

Tofu is so much better for you than the alternative, which is meat of course. Darn carnivores.

I don’t eat a lot of meat, but sometimes, there’s nothing better on Earth than a big sloppy Hamburger, y’know? Tofu? Ack.
