HBO Poll: Sleep Wear?

CindyH: The warm weekend weather prompted me to sleep er, ah … in the altogether. Something I don’t do a lot, due to the amount of teenage boys in my home on any given evening. However, now it’s rare to have someone come into our room for a drink of water or for comfort after a bad dream, and sleeping bare may once again become an option. What kind of nighttime apparel to Hucksters wear?

I’m reminded of a ditty I learned as a kid sung to the tune of ‘The Battle Hymn of the Republic’, the part that starts out “Mine eyes have seen the glory…”

“I wear my silk pajamas in the summer when it’s hot,
I wear my woolen undies in the winter when it’s not.
And sometimes in the springtime and sometimes in the fall
I jump right in with nothing on at all!”

Wow! Pants-less, board meetings take casual Friday to a whole new level :-)

  • Liz on May 20 at 4:11 p.m.

    t shirts and pj bottoms.
Alas, I have a nine year old boy, so I ain’t takin’ any chances. At all.

I’ve noticed in the HBO Poll that those who at least wear skivvies to bed have pulled ahead of the nekkid ones 25-23. I hope the nekkid ones at least wear skivvies when posting comments late at night. I might be unnerved otherwise.

DFO - here’s my confession. …. uh, mebbe not.

  • toadman on May 20 at 4:26 p.m.

I can’t take sleeping au natural…to many bits get in the way. I at least have to have on, as you call them, “skivvies”, to keep things tucked away nicely for the night.

    But hey.. that’s just me.

…however…and mostly not to scare the rest of the people living in my house…and because I sometimes like to imagine I’m Hugh Hefner…I wear pj’s…or at least a smoking jacket.

    ;-)

Toad, do you have a dressing gown ala Sherlock Holmes?

Me? I ain’t answering the poll. I like to keep my night life to myself.

  • Sisyphus on May 20 at 4:34 p.m.

    I’m naked now Dave. :-0

    As your avatar plainly displays…

    >I’m naked now Dave. :-0 — Sisyphus<

And you guys wonder why I need a vacation.

I liked Sis’s comment the best. Though many may not agree, why have anything in the way of a good nights sleep. Like Kramer said a long time ago, my boys are out there, whether you like that fact or not. It’s all a personal choice of course, whether hot or cold. I move around a thousand times a night, and I hate to be bound up. Again, it’s just me and aren’t we family here as it is? I hope so. Sleep well tonight.

  • Stickman on May 20 at 9:44 p.m.

I apologize for being so personal, but the question asks for answers. Mine is just for me, not to be shared, but I already gave up that thought. Let’s move on, to more interesting thoughts.

My, things are getting intimate and cozy here on Huckaberries…so I guess it’s my turn to tell the entire world what I sleep in…? Well, a T-shirt is compulsory, aided and abetted by either an old pair of sweats, or the trunks I used to wear to the health club. That’s the “long” and “short” of it, ha ha ha ha Ha Ha HAAAAAAA!!!!!

Ahem…I just looked back over this post, and I really think I’ve given too much information.

  • Stickman on May 21 at 10:10 p.m.

Tonight I will sleep in something other than nothing, in honor of those that have to have something on to feel comfortable.
