Very few locals visit the businesses as it is. I would love to see all of Sherman closed off for foot traffic only. You can park anywhere and walk a few blocks, it might do you good.
Most would rather park right in front and not have to think about a short walk. Too bad, as I think that will always prevent anything being done to Sherman that would close the whole thing off. We sure are becoming lazy.
