What happened? He thought he was a God when he played for the Chargers. I suspect finding out that you’re simply human could lead someone to try to alter their reality through medication.
I think that today’s prescription drugs are very addictive. I think there is a risk of addiction for anybody who has been on them for any length of time. Professional Athletes, especially those in such a bone jarring sport, are likely to be on them fairly frequently.
And as far as Leaf’s fall, I don’t think there is any surprise. Those who exalt themselves will be humbled and those who humble themselves will be exalted. I hear that he was legendarily arrogant even in high school.. His WSU experience did nothing to humble him. If you look at the lifestyles of the famous, you will notice that most of them fall.. Try watching “True Hollywood story” sometime, it doesn’t matter who they profile, the show is almost always exactly the same plotline.. Some fall earlier than others. Leaf is no exception.
he always was a jerk..even at WSU he had no friends and was always getting in trouble.. bout time it caught up to him… couldn’t happen to a bigger jack-@ss
The pros make us want to believe that there are super heroes out there that play games. Not so, as the real heroes in this life are the ones protecting our lives, every single day.
I’ve heard that he was not well liked at Wazzu either. At this point, it seems like he’s got a real addiction problem, which I hesitate to mock. He needs help and he needs to want help and to change his ways.

You can take the boy out of Montana but you can’t take Montana out of the boy?

He was the biggest disappointment of any college player, going to the pros I have ever seen.
Why steal prescription drugs? Just do what my ex-mother-in-law
did.Oh, never mind. ;-)

Hmmm, draft Payton Manning or Ryan Leaf first, Hmmmm tough choice. The Colts are sure coming out of this smelling like a rose.

Leave him alone. Should we make a practice of dragging the skeletons out of every blogger’s closet?
