Ah, Silence …

No more elections talk. No more election TV ads.
No more phone calls for different candidates.

Did the many items pass in Spokane?
Did the jail pass in Cda?
Did the water dept. in Sandpoint pass?
Which was an unfair ballot, as Sandpoint water
is in Ponderay as well as Kootenai, and neither
town got to vote on that. A good question is why?
After all we are stuck with the higher bill with out
choices, where Sandpoint decides our fate.

Ah peace and quiet… I hope

Cis/From A Simple Mind

Update: Maybe not so quiet in Coeur d’Alene.

Question: Are you looking forward to political “silence” for awhile? Or can a person ever get away from the noise of politicking?

DFO - I am so thankful to you and the SR for providing this site. I really appreciated the back and forth here and all the information. It made the local races so much more than they have ever been for me before.

Thanks for everything you did, and especially for keeping things civil and providing a forum for everyone. It was not one sided here - all could be heard.

Im looking to veg for a couple of days… 4 elections - 2 victories/2 loses.. 50/50 - the pay is the same for me, but I wish the pay off would have been better for the two that lost…

Several years ago, while running for office, when asked by DO during a pre election interview, what the biggest challenge was in city government..I said that the councils in both CDA and PF did not understand the workings of URDs, nor knew what they could become. They had NO CLUE how they worked and the deals made to get there.I think that as the years have rolled forward some still dont know, but are starting to get it. They are a great tool for citys, but only if used with care.
