Alas, OtisG will not be with them

Boarders for Christ members, from left, Josh Monteith, Zach Black, Josh Tyvan  at the Coeur d’Alene Skate Park on Monday.

“Thousands of Egyptians are expected to watch next week when a group of Coeur d’Alene skateboarders and bikers soar up and down ramps, jumping cars and rows of people. Then they’ll listen as the young men talk about their personal experiences with Christianity.” http://www.spokesman.com/stories/2009/nov/10/boarding-for-egypt/

My attempts at skateboarding have not been successful. Or pretty. Have you ever tried it?

Although I have been tempted get a longboard after my girls took up sport, I am afraid I am reaching a time in my life where my bicycle is probably as adverturous as I should get…

Otis, helped cinch the deal for me. (ironically, I was contimplating going with him to to visit Brent in Tennesee.)

Ya'll should have asked me! I would have yelled, “Get off that skateboard, right now, young man. You're going to spill your beer or break something!”

Well. Maybe not. But I would have taken some cool photos.

Okay, maybe no photos. But I'm in the mood for a road trip :-)

Boarders for Christ? I've heard it all now. But maybe you want God on your side when you break your neck skateboarding. Back in the '60s, I had a wooden skateboard (bought at JC Penney, it was called “The Shark” and it had metal roller-skate wheels which slid out from under you when you had to make a tight corner. I had to retire the skateboard when one of the rear wheels got irreparably dented.

Herb I might as well LOL…… its only our Jacob that has broken numerous things or had any operations, yet he is the 'free runner' that does somersaults of roof tops etc…. and flips over walls, Im just waiting with baited breathe :)

Think of all the time I would of saved if I lived near the hospital…. once I had one son in traction on the third floor after being knocked over by a car and fighting for his life and one son down stairs in the eye department when someone stabbed a pencil in his eye at school, at least we all had lunch together LOL
