Coeur d’Alene City Clerk Susan Weathers tells Huckleberries Online that challenger Jim Brannon still hasn’t filed a request for a recount in his 5-vote loss to incumbent Councilman Mike Kennedy Nov. 3. Brannon has until Nov. 30 to file for a recount. Meanwhile, Gary Ingram submitted a request for a copy of all poll books for the city election about an hour ago, which gives some credence to the rumor that Brannon allies may be more interested in challenging the election altogether than asking for a recount. (Idaho Code provides 3 days for the city to respond to a request for records with an additional 7 days if needed to fulfill the request). Reportedly, Brannon has told the Coeur d’Alene Press that he didn’t want to rush into anything, stating: “Government seems to want to rush through everything these days, how about we slow down and get one thing right?”

Brannon better hurry up. His deadline is comming up, oh wait, it was election day Nov 3rd. ‘Too bad Mr Brannon no one cares anymore.’ You had your chance and apparently no one wants to give you that second chance!

First this group (Brannon/Ingram/Souza/Gookin/Snedaker/Doty/Ward/Lahr/Spencer) intentionally damages Habit For Humanity by faLsely suggesting that the board of directors politicized their non-profit organization by firing their executive director, now this same group of losers -not an insult, a fact (see results of Nov 3rd) is intimating that Dan English, Dee Dee Beard and their entire elections department ran a bad election. Is there no level to which these people will not stoop? We knew Mary was a bitter, vengeful person, we’ve been reading it in print for 4 long years, but the fact that former state legislator Gary Ingram would join in in this partisan and mean spirited attack on the Kootenai County Elections Board is a bit surprising, I though he had more integrity than that. I guess I was wrong.

Phaedrus, why don’t you ask Mike why he refused to tell the press why he asked for a recount?
And then ask why the Susan W has not sent the request to the county, as they are ready to copy the poll books, but haven’t got the call from Susan to make the copies, even though Dan has made it clear to her and his staff that it is to be processed ASAP.
Would you check for us? thanks in advance.

Would you check for us?
Why is a Bonner County resident so anxious to see poll books from a CdA election? I’m worried about my signature becoming exposed to identity theft.

Larry, why don’t you ask Brannon why he hasn’t asked for a recount. (Or ask the person who does the thinking and speaking for him.) TIA.

…it is to be processed ASAP.
Same can be said about the recount.

Careful Phaedrus, all this table talk between you and Spencer could be viewed as an open meeting law violation…theres not cross talk between opposing parties

“Government seems to want to rush through everything these days, how about we slow down and get one thing right?” he said.—Jim Brannon
Which is it Larry?

“why don’t you ask Mike why he refused to tell the press why he asked for a recount.”
Earth to Larry, he didn’t ask for a recount. The Press headline said he inquired about a recount. Subtle difference, I know. But there is a big difference.
LarrySpencer on November 16 at 1:42 p.m.
According to the AG, he did in fact formally request a recount. By way of a formal letter. It wasn’t an “inquiry”
Joker on November 16 at 1:48 p.m.
If he requested it, why didn’t the AG move on it?
BTW, what’s Jim Brannon waiting for? I noticed in the Press article he is still likely to ask for one. Seems like he is hedging his bets a little.

Hey, Spencer, I was thinking of you last week while enjoying a personal tour of the Kroc Center from John Chamness. My son and daughter-in-law were part of the tour, along with Mrs. O. On several occasions, my daughter-in-law, Nurse Stephanie, exclaimed how much she’d love to have a facility like the Kroc Center in Denver. Finally, I mentioned that, believe it or not, there was a small group of naysayers who fought the Kroc Center tooth and nail, including one guy who alleged that there was some kind of conspiracy involving the cost of the dirt to fill the old gravel pit. I didn’t name names. But you were obviously in my thoughts. I’m glad that you and your allies failed to stop the Kroc Center. But I see you’re still active out there.

“If he requested it, why didn’t the AG move on it?”
The AG did, and set it for a recount on the 23rd. They told him he would have to pay, and he called it off.

At the end of the day, Kennedy withdrew his request for a recount. So what? Why does he need to give any explanation.
Where’s Jimbo? When is he going to ask? Don’t tell me he’s hiding the bathroom until the AG gets here.
