U.S. pork producers picked up an important ally this week in their effort to properly name the Question: Has the misnomer “swine flu” caused you to be reluctant to use pork products?
H1N1 flu virus when the president of the National Newspaper Association urged community newspaper publishers and editors to use precise language in coverage of the flu pandemic. Cheryl Kaechele, publisher of the Allegan County News in Allegan, Mich., told her members that confusion from newspaper headlines that refer to H1N1 as “swine flu” has “unfairly cast doubt upon the pork industry” … Tim Bierman, an Iowa pork producer who is president of the National Pork Board, said he has sent a letter to Kaechele thanking her for her leadership on an issue that is vitally important to the nation’s 70,000 pork producers/provided by Charlie Powell, WSU agriculture information officer. If someone is dumb enough to associate the “swine flu” with eating pork, they are probably already a PETA member.

I don't know how anyone eats pork products as it is. And I am not a PETA member, though sometimes they make their point.

Stick, it isn't about eating pork (although I am sure at least one of your visitors has eating pork recently) it is about confusing the swine flu with eating pork.

CB: I get it, though I can't think of a single person who has ever visited here who has actually eaten pork, to my knowledge that is. I might be a little naive though.

MMM, Bacon. Bacon is sooo good, you wrap steak in it.
Had bacon wrapped chicken tacos for supper (and leftovers for lunch.) Not usually much for leftovers in our house, especially bacon wrapped chicken.

CB - I prefer a bacon wrapped, ham stuffed, pork chop taco. But that's' just the pig in me talking.
Are you serious - bacon wrapped chicken taco? –never heard that combination before.

We eat the bacon wrapped chicken on occasion. But I saw Taco Bell had a crunchy bacon chicken burrito I think. So I tried it. Pretty doggone good. Shredded the meat after cooking it so it fit in the tacos.
