  • 5:34 p.m. A deputy is on foot after getting his vehicle stuck in a ditch near Twin Lakes.
  • 5:19 p.m. Avista is finally responding to Marie Creek Road fire.
  • 4:19 p.m. Police and fire personnel call for Avista crews to handle a downed power line in the Marie Creek Road cabin fire. (Update @ 5:14 p.m.: Authorites are upset that Avista hasn't responded to two calls to handle the downed line.)
  • 4:17 p.m. Sonic/H41 reports that a blue van damage one of its drive-up stalls.
  • 3:59 p.m. A slash-pile burn has gotten out of control, engulfing a log cabin and spreading to the woods @ 13383 Marie Creek Road/Coeur d'Alene National Forest.
  • 3:56 p.m. One vehicle in a two-vehicle crash is over an embankment into a creek @ Cliffhouse & Three Forks Road/Hauser Lake. None of the 5 individuals involved is hurt.
  • 3:32 p.m. 2 men are drinking and throwing beer cans out of their vehicle w/b on I-90 @ M/P 29 (Fourth of July Creek).
  • 3:22 p.m. An elderly man appears confused after hitting his head in a bicycle crash @ Ponderosa & Jennie Lane/Post Falls.

  • 3:16 p.m. 2 people are uninjured after their vehicle rolled over @ Nettleton Gulch & Shaw Loop/CdA.
  • 2:52 p.m. An 85YO man is not breathing after vomiting at residence near the old Quad Park/Post Falls. No one on the scene is willing to provide CPR.
  • 2:27 p.m. A passerby in a grey Lincoln Navigator reports seeing fire coming from a balcony of a house @ 8275 Arizona/Rathdrum.
  • 1:56 p.m. Woman fears she spotted a small cougar near her rural Kootenai County home.
  • 1:40 p.m. A motorist who didn't stop to check for injuries reports a blue pickup has crashed into a field while trying to pass a truck on H95 @ M/P 383 (near Desmet).
  • 1:25 p.m. An elderly man who may be suffering from dementia told a neighbor he plans to walk from Big Rock Road, south of the river, to Liberty Lake.
  • 12:31 p.m. Bryan School officials complain that smoke from a possible illegal burn @ 7th & Maple/CdA is blowing onto the school play area.
