Wonkette Spotlights Odd 1CD Wannabe

At the popular Wonkette blog, 1st Congressional District candidate Harley D. Brown is getting some of his 15 minutes of fame. In a "Meet your candidates" section, the DC gossip blog shows a mug shot of 76YO Brown, along with one of his mottos: "Nuke their ass, take their gas." Then, Wonkette posts a link to Brown's material and this comment: "GAH! So. Can we safely assume that Harley D. Brown, this thick anger-monster running for Congress in Idaho, is familiar with the one and only Super Tuber (a recipe from 'Gay Larry Craig')?" The Wonkette link takes you to Brown's Web site and a number of sound bites: "Combat is no place for women," "NEVER send a Marine where you can send a bullet and ALWAYS send the BIGGEST bullet you've got," and "If the government wants to take my guns, I'll give them the bullets first!" Wonkette post here. (Sisyphus, who provided the link in the comments section, comments: "Look for him to be asked on to Colbert next.)

Question: Have you ever voted for an odd, long-shot candidate? Who? Why?
