Trustee: Don’t Threaten w/Levy Issue

A Coeur d'Alene school patron has provided HucksOnline w/a letter she sent to Trustee Bill Hemenway (pictured) re: the proposal to start the school week w/a one-hour teacher collaboration. (See her letter here.) Hemenway responded in part: "Why always threaten us with the levy issue? We sit on that board and try to do the best we can with the resources given us. To hold us hostage with levies is to sabotage our mission in this District. I personally sat in on the Leadership team that has met during the course of this school year. They are the ones who crafted the job-embedded collaboration being purposed and teacher input was a component part of the process so it isn't fair to say teachers had no input"/Coeur d'Alene Trustee Bill Hemenway. Full response here. CSD website profiles of Hemenway and other school trustees here.

Question: At this point, it's obvious that the public has some major reservations re: the proposed collaboration process. Do you think trustees will ignore the uproar and approve the changes Monday night?
