Herb: Finally Made It To Nosworthy

Herb Huseland: I don't normally eat out much, especially if it reqjuires a trip to the city. Today was an exception. I needed groceries among other things so I headed for the city. Hayden, Idaho. Oh, and I decided to eat at Nosworthy's, too. The last time I ate there, it was called the Ground Round. I met the owner in Bayview a few years ago. He told me some other restaurant raised hell over the name, so they changed it. Same ownership. We got onto the subject of potato salad, since at that time I was pumping it out by the car load at the Captain's Wheel. He told me his son made exellent potato salad and that I should stop by and try it sometime. You can read rest of Herb's review below.

Well, four or so years later, I sauntered in and sat at a table. The bartender came right over, handed me a menu and asked for a drink order. I ordered Ice tea which she promptly brought over. There is where things kind of got weird. It seems that I was sitting in a section serviced by another waitress. I sat for about five minutes, then another couple came in and sat at the next table. Over comes the waitress for their order, ignoring me. It turns out she thought the other Gal took my order. No problem. Then she brought over a pitcher of Ice tea. She started to pour it kind of sideways into my glass and a huge splash hit the table. Again no harm. We cleaned it up and she got more napkins for me.

At this point I'm going, do I tell all, or suck it up? Well it was just too darn funny not to tell all. The burger I ordered reminded me of the old days. For me that would be pre-fast food era sometime in ghe 50's. It was great. Stacked up about six onches, it was a good thing I have a big mouth. Of course I ordered the ;potato salad. How could I not? It was delicious. On a par with my very own. It was different though as most potato salads vary a great deal. I made red potato salad with the skins on, where this was more traditional. Still, the mustard/Mayo lblend, wnhich I consider critical, was perfect. The menu is pretty limited, since they are primarily a burger joint, but what they do, they do very well.
