She showed up at weddings uninvited, mingled with guests and never left empty-handed. A
Spokane woman’s wedding-crashing scheme unraveled last summer when an old high school classmate – and off-duty police officer – recognized her at a wedding where she wasn’t an invited guest. When the hosts discovered missing gifts, they realized they’d been looted. Now Pamula W. McBride, 46, will serve 45 days in jail for stealing gift cards and personal checks from a wedding in Nez Perce County, Idaho, last June. Police also suspect McBride stole similar items from the gift table at Scott Drago’s wedding reception at Cataldo Hall on the Gonzaga University campus July 18, nearly one month after she stole from a wedding at the Lewiston Elks Lodge/Meghann M. Cuniff, Sirens & Gavels. More here.
Question: What would be a good sentence for an individual who crashed weddings to steal gifts?

She’d have to write all the gift thank-you notes for her newlywedded victims!

Make her watch every episode of Bridezillas, Say Yes to the Dress, Rich Bride Poor Bride, and all the other crappy wedding reality shows. Endlessly, with no bathroom breaks, until she breaks down realizes the horror of the US wedding industrial complex.

@Scootermom - Cruel and Unusual punishment! But I like it.

This happened at my nephew’s wedding 5 years ago. The basket with all the cards, including the checks and gift cards, just disappeared. Very sad. I don’t remember her being at that wedding, though, although it caused us to suspect other guests. We learned to keep that basket protected at subsequent weddings, though. 45 days in jail doesn’t seem like enough, since it was so deliberate.

She should be sentenced to one month of picking up dog doo on Tubbs Hill under the directon of Walkabout.

This could possibly amount to grand theft, which is a serious crime, not a cute trick. I think 45 days is too lenient.

Maybe a year would be better Don, I mean following Walkabout on her daily rounds. I guess most find that job quite replusive, but she does it each day and finds joy in keeping Tubbs Hill as pristine as she can. Some complain that the Hill is not being kept after, I strongly disagree. Follow her some day and then comment.
