Post Falls To Swear In Dog

Post Falls Mayor Clay Larkin told Huckleberries this morning that the City Council will swear in Koda tonight as part of the ceremonies involving new and re-elected council members. Koda is the police dog from Czechoslovakia hat Post Falls got with leftover funds in its drug enforcement budget. Also as part of the ceremonies, fifth-grader Amanda Howard of Ponderosa Elementary will receive a certificate for submitting the winning entry among 350 entries in the contest to name Koda (which means "ally" in the Czechoslovakia lingo). Koda will be sworn in by the city clerk. Who will read the same oath of office as the ones for Mayor Clay Larkin and three council members. And will bark at the end of the recitation to indicate that he will abide by the words of the oath.

Question: Are you elected officials smarter than a police dog?
