Mary: No Beers With Mike Kennedy

I would like to look away from the train wreck that is Not-So-OpenCDA.com this week. But Mary and her keyboard commandos keep delivering gold. Mary's latest post notes that Councilman MikeK announced during an on-air conversation with Chris Wagar and Norm McBride Tuesday that he'd brought them a six-pack of Guinness -- and that he might come back and share some with them later. Chris and Norm, of course, were laid off after that interview, so there won't be any brewski imbibing after hours in the near future. Then, most of us realize that Kennedy was only joking. Humor-impaired Mary didn't pick up on that when she continued: "Well, apparently it is ILLEGAL to have any alcohol at a radio station, by FCC rules.  And word on the street is that Chris & Norm are now gone.  Not on the radio today.  Replacements coming next week.   Aren’t you proud of our elected officials in the City of Excellence?"

Question: Do you suppose Mary thinks Chicago Mike got Chris and Norm whacked for some reason? Inquiring minds want to know?
