Nic: OpenCDA.com’s Echo Chamber

Nic: Going back further (to 12/14 - covering all posts on their main page) only 8 posters left a comment that did not contribute comments to the two most recent threads (one of which was you, kage). Grand total of 123 comments from 15 participants spread out over 10 stories in just over three weeks time. Of those 15 people who have left a comment on openCDA, 4 of them left only one comment, another left more than one, but they're not a regular there … so that leaves only 10 regulars (including you). Furthermore … 123 comments, and only ONE opposing opinion (from CdACanuck and it was soon ripped apart by Bill. Not exactly what I'd consider “welcoming” of opposing opinions. Full post below.

Question: Do you bookmark OpenCDA.com?

With all due respect, Kage… I think your counting skills are off. Either that or your definition of “regular” is vastly more extensive than what most people accept.

The HBO blurkers you speak of - that's true. And those blurkers could easily list off the (at most) dozen regulars at openCDA.

Let's just break down the most recent threads there. So far, only 2 posts today. (first posts in 3 days) in one post there are (so far) 13 comments, of the 13 - 3 are from stebbijo, 3 are from Bill, and 2 from Mary (who also authored the post.) 13 comments from 6 commenters (5 of which I would consider regulars). In the other post - 8 comments from 6 regulars (5 of those 6 also contributed the the other thread.)

All opinions confirm or clarify the other. No opposing opinions. That is the definition of an echo chamber.
