DFO: Wrong re: Library Location

I don't like admitting mistakes in judgment re: local political decisions. But I decided during the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend that the urban renewal planners were right to put the library on the edge of McEuen Field, rather than listen to many including myself who said it should be more centrally located. The parking lot was so packed on Saturday that I saw 3 or 4 cars circling as I prepared to leave the library. On Monday, there were only 3 spots available near the library. Obviously, library patrons have had no trouble driving to the picturesque spot in downtown Coeur d'Alene.

Question: Is there something in the community that you initially opposed but admitted later that community leaders had made the right decision?
