Trib Jeers Hart For Tea Party Stand

In his weekly Cheers & Jeers column, Opinion Editor Marty Trillhaase of the Lewiston Tribune jeered three Idaho legislators for pandering to Tea Party activists this week: Rep. Steve Hartgen, R-Twin Falls, Rep. Steven Thayn, R-Emmett, and Rep. Phil Hart, R-Athol. Of Hart, Trillhaase said: "He railed against the Federal Reserve system as "offensive to scripture." A fellow who refused to pay his taxes for seven years - but who now draws legislative pay, health insurance, per diem expenses, life insurance and retirement from the poor state taxpayer - ought to look up what the Bible has to say about hypocrites." Question: Is it pandering when you share the same beliefs?
