Skin Docs Want Teen Tan Bed Ban

The Washington State Dermatology Association is backing a bill urging state law makers to put regulations on tanning salons. The group says the bill will help with melanoma prevention, and would ultimately save lives. Currently, some salons have decided people under the age of 18 should have a signed permission slip from a parent or guardian to tan, but salons don't have to do that as there are no actual regulations in place/KREM2. More here.

Question: Is this proposed law necessary?
