Press Explains Letters Policy

At The Press, we publish a letters policy stating that all letters should include the writer's name, city of residence and telephone number. When we see something clearly suspicious, we check it out. But because some of our writers forget to put an address or phone number on the letter or they do not wish to share that private information, we sometimes make allowances. If the message is relatively mundane, we make minimal effort at verifying the message and its writer and instead do our best to print the letter as quickly as possible/Mike Patrick, Coeur d'Alene Press. More here.

Question: When did you last write a letter to the editor? Why did you write it? Bonus question (for Kage Mann): Is the Press still allowing you to write letters using your pseudonym?
