DOTC: Anyone Else Get Robo-Call?

Dan of the County: I’m wondering if anyone else got a totally automated phone poll that only asked about who you would be voting for county commissioner. At least one other person in our office with a 687 prefix got one last night…maybe it was the Rathdrum night…curious who was doing it and of course what kind of results they are getting.

Question: Did anyone else get an automated phone call, asking questions re: the primary elections for county commissioner? Anyone know the source of the calls?

No, I didn’t get a robocall, but another interesting thing happened recently. I had just received a call from a real person taking a poll. I agreed to participate. Just when he asked me if I were a member of any news media, and I answered just as a free lance reporter, the power went out. It was during our latest wind storm. I’ve often wondered if he thought I’d hung up on him. In this day & age of base stations and portables such as I have, the conversation immediately ends.

I have caller id so don’t answer calls I don’t know…. but did get a call the other day from Gainsville Florida…. heard they were doing some calling up here for political reasons… so don’t know if it was one or not.
