Cleveland Fans Attack 8YO Jets Fan

Cleveland Browns fans are known for their rowdiness, especially the denizens of the infamous 'Dawg Pound' bleacher section at the east end zone of Cleveland Browns Stadium. But following the Browns' 26-20 overtime loss to the Jets Sunday, one transplanted Jets fan and his 8-year-old son had a rude encounter as they walked to their car in the city-operated Muni Lot nearby. Danielle Brennan told the Ohio News Network that her husband Thomas and their 8-year-old son, who was sporting Jets gear, had profanity and food hurled at them. But the worst offense, Danielle said, was when she said her son was tackled by a drunken Browns fan, resulting in a large cut on his right ankle/Christian Red, New York Daily News. More here. Question: What is it about a lot of sports fans that makes them take leave of their senses when their team's honor is on the line?
