Sgt. Christie Wood: In the last 24 hours there have been 21 reported accidents inside the City limits and seven slideoffs. People definitely need to drive very slowly and watch for other people who are not paying attention. I understand the winter storm watch has been upgraded and there is a more severe storm on the way.

  • 6 p.m. Male reports that a 64YO friend w/a history of heart problems hasn't returned home from hunt in Worley area. He has no food or water.
  • 5:51 p.m. A tree has fallen, blocking 2/3s of road @ 15th & Idaho/PF.
  • 5:48 p.m. Female has locked herself out of her running Chrysler near Les Schwab/PF.
  • 4:59 p.m. Kootenai County Jail reports suicidal subject who's about to be released.
  • 4:48 p.m. An unconscious person is reported at 13236 W. Prairie/Rathdrum.
  • 4:45 p.m. Traffic lights aren't recycling @ Government Way & Kathleen/CdA.
  • 4:33 p.m. Lights aren't recycling @ H95 & Northwest Boulevard causing traffic to back up onto freeway.

  • 2:18 p.m. Traffic lights are malfunctioning @ H95 & Honeysuckle/Hayden.
  • 2:14 p.m. PFPD Blue reports railroad crossing is so iced at Bay Street that vehicles can't stp.
  • 1:03 p.m. Male at Tire-rama on Schreiber reports his wife took his keys & cell phone and left him, after a dispute.
  • 12:54 p.m. Vehicle has slid off H53 & into trees at M/P 12.5 (near Ramsey Road/Rathdrum).
  • 12:43 p.m. Female on Linden/CdA said male with shaved head & red basketball shirt drove off in a silver vehicle after she caught him trying to steal her vehicle.
  • 12:37 p.m. Jacob @ CdA WalMart wants to see officer re: apprehended shoplifter.
  • 12:28 p.m. 2 males are involved in physical fight at 1952 12th/CdA.
  • 12:23 p.m. A truck lost part of its load of steel and crashed over an embankment on H3 & M/P 93 (Benewah-Kootenai county line). Driver is out of the truck & limping around.
