Sheriff Arpaio Endorses Raul Labrador

A Berry Picker sends along this photo from Buck Knives, where controversial Maricopa County, Arizona, Sheriff Joe Arapaio, right, talks with Kellie Palm of the Kootenai County Republican Women Federation and Chuck Buck Sr. of Buck Knives. Arpaio will be the guess speaker at the Republican Women’s annual Women In Red event at the Coeur d’Alene Resort tonight.

At a press conference that ended a few moments ago at the Coeur d’Alene Resort, Sheriff Joe Arpaio endorsed Raul Labrador’s candidacy for Congress. Labrador was in attendance with his wife, Rebecca. At one point, Arpaio was asked if he was endorsing Labrador. And he said simply that he liked the Republican legislator and that he was. As you may recall, there was quite a brouhaha among Republican women when Labrador sought one-on-one face time with Arpaio before tonight’s Women in Red event.

Question: Why was Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s endorsement so important to Raul Labrador?

Oh, well that’s good that some random, out-of-town, idiot who knows absolutely nothing about Idaho politics or the 1st Congressional District endorsed Labrador. Very meaningful.

“Why was Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s endorsement so important to Raul Labrador”?

Because, he got an endorsement from a sheriff who is known to be tough on illegal immigration.

R’s need to ask Arpaio how he feels about the standard length knives and assisted opening knives Buck produces. Prior to Arizona’s constitutional carry law passed this year, which although is primarily focuses on firearms also addresses any other weapon, including (gasp) pocket knives, Arpaio instructed his deputies to arrest any person carrying one.

How d’ya like that, North Idaho? Arpaio still a hero?

If I lived in Maricopa County, or if Arpaio was running for Shoshone County Sheriff, I might care. They aren’t inviting him to tell them how to provide law enforcement policies for Kootenai County in general - outside of Arizona he’s to immigration what Giuliani is to terrorism (and I am sure most North Idaho Republicans would disagree with Giuliani on most other issues).

The good Sheriff said something about Nixon Aid—Minnick shutting down the work he was doing to prevent drug/human smuggling. He said, is that the same Minnick? Raul said yes, he’s the one (Minnick worked for Nixon, later a turn-coat).

I wonder if Rep. Labrador condones this:

“PHOENIX — Maricopa County budget officials say a financial review of thousands of Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office records reveal the office has misspent at least $50 million in taxpayer dollars.”

The four-star sheriff’s endorsement of Rep. Labrador will be at least as important as Gov. Palin’s endorsement of Vaughn Ward, and will have a similar effect on the election results.

According to the CdA Press, Arpaio is only “unofficially supporting congressional hopeful Raul Labrador.”

    Seems pretty weak, doesn’t it?

Wow Kennedy, that’s huge. The hero of the women in red plays fast and loose with public money. $50 million. At least.

The county conducted a financial review of MCSO records after several questionable spending items came to officials’ attention.

Those items include an extradition trip to Alaska where deputies stayed at a fishing resort and training trips to Disneyland.

“What we have discovered through viewing that documents is that those suspicions were well-founded,” said Gerchick.

Deputy County Manager Sandi Wilson will give a presentation detailing the findings of the county’s review of the sheriff’s records during a special meeting of the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Mickey Mouse is a naturalized citizen isn’t he? Were they extraditing some halibut from Alaska?

realminnick.com 3 minute video shows some of minnick’s tactics and why raul has to get some support from people like joe, who are well respected in idaho and across the usa.
