Allred Removes GOP Logo From Site

Keith Allred has taken the official Republican elephant logo off the web page for Republicans for Allred. after a complaint of trademark violation from the Republican National Committee. “Your campaign’s use of the RNC’s official elephant logo appears designed to mislead the public into thinking you are a Republican or that your views are consistent with those of the Republican Party,” said John Phillippe, chief counsel of the Republican National Committee in the letter. “On the contrary, your tax and spend liberal agenda stands in stark contrast to conservative principles.” Allred for Idaho campaign manager, Matt Compton, called Phillippe to announce the compliance/Rocky Barker, Idaho Statesman. More here.

Question: Was Allred trying to be deceptive? Or just trying to reflect the fact that some Idaho Republicans back his candidacy against Gov. Butch Otter?
