The middle of the road is a dangerous place for any politician.Just ask Rep. Walt Minnick. Many Republicans will never forgive his support of lightning-rod Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Many
of Minnick’s fellow Democrats will never forgive him for opposing the
party’s centerpiece initiatives: health care reform, economic stimulus,
cap and trade. But the problems facing America are serious, and
the solutions must originate from the bipartisan middle. Congress needs
to become more sober and more centrist. Minnick fills this job
description, and deserves the support of 1st Congressional District
voters/Idaho Statesman Editorial Board. More here.
