As the state’s highest-ranking elected official, a governor should possess a focused vision for Idaho’s future. As the CEO of state government, the governor should possess the skills required to reach sensible, evidence-based decisions. By
both metrics, Gov. Butch Otter has been a startling disappointment. A
global recession — and its punishing effect on Idaho’s economy and tax
revenues — have obviously plagued Otter. But the past four years have
also been marred by mistakes and missteps of Otter’s own making. On
Nov. 2, voters have a rare opportunity to press the reset button. Keith
Allred is best prepared to lead Idaho into the next four years, while
handling the daily decisions that affect the lives of everyday Idahoans/Idaho Statesman Editorial Board. More here.
Question: Do you agree/disagree with Idaho Statesman endorsement of Democrat Keith Allred over incumbent Gov. Butch Otter?
