The Idaho Vandals will kick off the 2010 football season at home against North Dakota at 6 this afternoon.
Meanwhile, Betsy Russell is reporting via Eye On Boise that Democrat Keith Allred, indeed, was instrumental in pushing through property tax relief in 2006, despite denials by Butch Otter, House Speaker Lawerence Denney, and the rest of the Republican herd. Click here.
Hi, HBOers. I’m going to be on KVNI Radio tomorrow morning, at 7 a.m. Tune in and listen! That’s AM 1080, and/or www.kvni.com. I’ll be talking about my Spokane Indians baseball novel, and being on the board of KNIFVES (a movie networking nonprofit based out of Coeur d’Alene) and whatever else might come up.
I had a very nice morning visiting with Doug Eastwood, the Parks and Rec director, and Pete, who is the President of the Tubbs Hill Foundation. Sorry, I only know him as Pete. Tubbs Hill is in great shape when we have people like the both of them making decisions about it and making sure it is kept up and cared for. Of course some will disagree, but since I live right across the street from the Hill, I’m glad we have devoted people who care about all aspects of it. Thanks Doug and Pete for all you do.
