enough to be adopted out by the local humane shelter. The kids are

Yeah, “adopted out”. That’s it.
We lost a cat over the weekend. A white whiskered Holstein cuter than Milo and plenty of personality. No luck at the pound yet. Oy. Not my year for pets.
