I can’t help wonder what would have happened if the Palouse had sent Washington State to Nebraska instead of Idaho. I imagine the score would have been a whole lot worse than the respectable 38-17 loss that the Vandals suffered. Meanwhile, I can’t imagine that Idaho would need 16 points in the fourth quarter to fend of Montana State. WSU continues to play some seriously lousy football. But, hey, this is Sunday. Which means it’s time to switch gears and think about NFL football and today’s matchup between San Francisco and Seattle. I’ve been a 49er fan since I was 8 — and I don’t see that changing any time soon. Go 49ers. Now, for your Wild Card …

Thought I would bring anyone who cares up to date on Black Rock developments. After Chesrown lost it back to the bank, WTB, the general membership thought they would like to get together and buy it from the bank to ensure that it would remain operational. Getting agreement from 250 or so members was naturally impossible. So,10 members (I won’t drop names) decided to step up with a million dollars each to buy it from WTB, for 9 million. They would use the extra million for maintenance and operational costs. That plan will preserve the jobs and real estate values up there, as opposed to letting it ‘go dark’. The investors will likely be ok with their investments over the long haul. This is a good development for our area, imo.

I am not sure if I can say this on a newspaper blog but I believe deeply if more people used latin phrases like *ab ovo usque ad mala* there would be less strife and malice in this world. Or if the strife and malice levels are not suppressed at least we’d sound a lot smarter.

This is another thing I’m not sure I can say on a family newspaper blog, but I think if you think about it, most would agree that the most disappointing failure of the Obamadministration is all the heartbroken little kids who were told they would each get a Unicorn pony after he was elected, and the Unicorn pony would poop rainbow skittles dookies and have horns that shoot laser beams. Haven’t seen one yet.
Obama = Epic Fail

Got this for a Wild Card subject this morning. Rep. Boehner may decide to support middle class tax cuts only legislation currently in the House of Representatives. That is “may” do so.Segue to the George Nethercutt editorial where he blasts away at the news media for simply being unfair to the Beck rally and then blasts away at Obama for being “divisive.” Really?
If the “TEA Party” makes the primary argument that they are really not being represented in gvt, I’d certainly argue that their’s is a legitimate concern. However, for Nethercutt to argue that GOP values actually parallel that of “TEA Party” concerns would be a barrel of laughs in itself, because of the out right falsehood. Segue back to Boehner who wouldn’t have supported tax cuts unless the super wealthy were cut a heck of a deal. Shouldn’t that really say who Boehner actually represents? The people who can best fund his campaign war chest? Nor would Boehner necessarily oppose a staggering deficit if some of it is siphoned off to the politically well-connected, the favored special interests and etc. No more than he would oppose an expansive gvt, for the same reason.
Then there are the politicians who had no problem using division back in 2008 circa the presidential election and have no problem engaging in it now, such as Sarah Palin and any “TEA Party” endorsed candidate. Yet, Nethercutt wants to blame these political fault lines of extreme polarization generated by the GOP and the “TEA Party” movement onto Obama. What is even more hilarious in his “Inlander” editorial? He divorces or simply never honestly admits that Obama can only say that he shouldn’t have to “put his birth certificate on his forehead” when the extremist Birther movement were the ones claiming that Obama can’t be validly president unless he presents his “real” birth certificate. Of course people have called for that. The people that Nethercutt hopes will vote GOP!
Nethercutt in his editorial projects the worst possible politics that absolutely do exist in his own party onto the opposition in general and Obama in particular. Then he wants to play the victim card for himself and Glenn Beck. Yeah, I think I can have a problem with this. A good thing he no longer represents Washington state. He’s become a real embarrassment ever since he left office.

Republican filibuster is preventing the unicorns from being released Mr. Bloggy. Don’t blame the president.

Mr_Bloggy, thank you for saying what many of us have been thinking.
My youngest has given up asking when his unicorn pony will come. He no longer rushes out to meet the UPS man.
He is a sadder but wiser little boy.

When it comes to fixing the economy, President Obama is shooting blanks right now.
