Huckleberries wonders if the officers who cited three females for open container and/or a minor in possession of alcohol had ever heard the excuse they used to explain why they were drinking in their vehicle. Seems the officers spotted them drinking in the vehicle at 11:35 Saturday, Aug. 13. They told officers, according to the Aug. 11-14 Downtown Coeur d'Alene Bar Report, that they were "trying to save money by not paying bar drink costs."
