Christie: Dispatchers Handle All Calls
- Question (from Lynne, after reading AM Scanner Traffic Thursday AM): "Is scanner traffic = actual 911 calls?"
- Answer (from Sgt. Christie Wood/Coeur d'Alene Police Department): No. Many of the calls are fielded by the various police departments. But they're all dispatched through the 911 centers. That's why you see items on Scanner Traffic that certainly aren't 911 emergencies.
