INW: Ex-SR Staffer In Danger Zone

Above, you see former Spokesman-Review photographer Holly Pickett at the Jasmine Revolution in Tunisia. I'm going to provide a link of Holly literally running for her life with two of the four New York Times reporters/photojournalists who have been reported missing in Libya here. Holly reported on her Facebook wall that she's all right. Journalism isn't all fun & games, as you can see.

Holly is an amazing and courageous photojournalist. She’s been in my thoughts and prayers a lot these past few months.

Glad to hear she’s ok. She’s on the wrong side of the line.

One more reason to honor journalists. They do dangerous, important work. And the only ones who get well-compensated are the inside-the-beltway sellouts who suck up to power.

Maybe funding NPR/PBS isn’t such a bad idea.
