Tea Party Boise Targets Young People

Chad Inman, elected last month to replace Russ Smerz, has revived a board that dwindled to three members, aims to collaborate with other Idaho tea party groups and plans a scholarship and other tactics to lure younger members. "Tea Party Boise has a large task at hand," he writes in the group's latest newsletter. "That is to build an organization so powerful that when we ask our respective elected officials for their help we actually get it. When we demand something be done, it is done." I spoke with the new leader of Idaho's biggest tea party outfit Tuesday morning. "We're really making an effort to expand," he said. "If you go to a Tea Party Boise event the average age has got to be 60-plus. It'll just blow your mind what we're going to do to get young people interested. We're going to use all forms of media"/Dan Popkey, Idaho Statesman. More here.

Question: Is the Tea Party agenda something that a young person would be interested in?
