If you read the minutes of the Feb. 2, 2010, Coeur d'Alene City Council meeting, you'll see that then Parking Commissioner Steve Adams had this to say about McEuen Field: "Mr. Adams said that he would like to go on record that he supports enhancements to McEuen Field and improved parking capacity for those using the field but still expects the Mayor to apologize to Mary Souza." Mayor Sandi Bloem had challenged the claim from Souza, brought before her by Adams, that the city was planning to build a two-story parking garage on McEuen Field. The mayor further explained to Adams, according to the minutes, that enhancements are being looked at for McEuen Field and the City’s plan is to have community input. She noted that every time the topic of McEuen Field is mentioned there are always rumors, speculation and exaggeration spread around."
