Pachyderm SOS Backs $32.7M Bond

A Berry Picker has sent Huckleberries the following SOS note from Bob Brooke to Pachyderms: “Our new (conservative) School Board for District 271 is strongly behind the School Bond election to raise funds to repair and renovate the physical structures and design of some of our schools that are badly in need of attention. Years of neglect by the previous liberal school board makes these revisions very necessary. Tomorrow morning (Friday, 8-17-12) at 9:45 AM, Trustee Ann Seddon will conduct a tour of Canfield Middle School , located at  1800 East Dalton .  The purpose of the tour is to show community leaders why there is a need to pass the upcoming bond for additional school funds.  Meet at the parking lot. The entrance is around the back so people need to turn right on the street after the school and go to the back of the school. Please take a voting neighbor with you and see for yourself the need for these revisions. Remember to vote on August 28th. Your support is needed.”

DFO: I very much doubt that the previous “liberal” (code word for anyone who doesn't meet GOP hardliner purification critieria) school boards neglected those buildings. P'haps the now-engaged Hard Right voted “no” a little too much? Anyway, I appreciate that the Pachyderms are onboard with this bond.
