Parting Shot: Vote tomorrow

Christa Hazel sends this photo of Elections Dept worker Carrie Phillips, demonstrating how the two ballot counting machines will work tomorrow night.   The machines can read up to 300 ballots per minute. Once the test is completed, County Commissioner Dan Green will sign off and approve the testing session.

Those in attendance included Rep. Kathy Sims, Frank Orzell, Bill McCrory, and Rep. Bob Nonini plus representatives from the school districts.

Christa reports: "The CdA school district has a school election that will require a 2/3 majority to pass a $32.7 million dollar bond tomorrow. The Lakeland school district also has a school election for an SPFL levy tomorrow that requires 55% to pass.

The Kootenai Joint School District #274 also has a bond election that requires 2/3 majority to pass. Because of election consolidation, we now vote at our normal precincts. More info can be found on either the school district websites and the Kootenai County Elections Dept."

In other words don't forget to vote tomorrow!
