Woman Calls Cops After Spandex Hug

A Rexburg woman was not amused when two men dressed in spandex body suits unlawfully went into her apartment near the Brigham Young University-Idaho campus and gave her a hug before fleeing. The Post Register reports (http://bit.ly/w1Zvuy ) the woman called police late Tuesday to report two men had entered her apartment dressed in head-to-toe spandex and embraced her against her will. She was not injured. Police have dubbed the suspects “snuggles'' and say the men face potential charges of battery and unlawful entry/AP. More here. (Wikipedia photo: Spandex fiber)

That almost sounds like a fraternity initiation to me - would a Mormon really do something like that??? And shouldn’t the woman lock her doors? I don’t know - I think I’d be so shocked that someone came into my apartment without knocking, and then to see them look like sea divers, and THEN to get in my space and manage to actually HUG me, TWICE - I’d probably burst out laughing.

DFO, you may want to change the question. Not sure that you should be comparing the two.

This happens to me all the time. I’ve got to stay off those darn Craigslist hook-up sites.

It was probably terrifying for the woman who had no idea how that situation was going to end. But knowing the ending, and sitting safely here at my computer, I can’t help but laugh.

People need to remember that spandex in a privilege, not a right

Are you sure this didn’t happen at the Rexburg Walmart?
