Toppings are placed on a potato during a lunch line at the State Capitol for Potato Day today in Olympia,Wash. Annually one of the most popular legislative session events, Potato Day drew its usual long lunch lines which snaked across the Capitol rotunda steps. Sponsored by the Washington State Potato Commission an estimated 2,000 potatoes were served as the organization feted the Classic Russet, a special spud that was bred from a 1995 research collaboration of Washington State and Oregon State Universities, the University of Idaho and the USDA.
