Hump Day Wild Card — 2.22.12

I'm headed to the debate for Kootenai County GOP sheriff's candidates at the Coeur d'Alene Library at 6 this evening. The Coeur d'Alene Police Officers Association & Coeur Group are sponsoring the debate. I'm looking forward to seeing how the five men hold up under pressure. Will take notes tonight. No live blogging. But we'll talk about it Thursday. Hope to see you there. Here's your re-posted Wild Card …

Where is everybody this morning? It’s just me, Digger, and DFO. Is the power out everywhere else? Or did everyone take to heart my suggestion that we give up commenting on HBO for Lent? ;)

@DFO - Are you sure that he would have been 280? Or maybe 279 and you just added a year somewhere along the line?

    ;-)

I know George and Abe get all the attention with President’s Day, but this year I am remembering Rutherford B. Hayes.

I would never give up HBO for Lent. Maybe fish sticks though.

@stickman - giving up something you don’t partake of anyway doesn’t count. :)

I gave up crack cocaine and Lutefisk for Lent.

I’m still laughing about today’s Press article notifying those who won’t or can’t attend the $1,000 per person lake home get-together for Newt Gingrich that they will still be able to meet with him. A special session for the ‘common folk” is set up at the CdA Best Western on Thursday evening.

    Royalty? Common folk?

went to the sheriff’s debates tonight. one candidate shot himself in the foot, about arresting too many people, not answering questions he didn’t like.
He was showing anger to often. simply not a good candidate just to do this, for the fun of it. Just like he did in the past.So he said.

I was there too, speaker. why don’t you just mention that it was Green? I do appreciate your comments though, I would have said something similar.

  • Dennis on February 23 at 5:59 a.m.

Green not answering questions? Who’d a thunk it?

Chance of that clown being an open and accessible sheriff? Nil!!!

That fools ego is almost as big as Harts.

You’re right Norther. Humor doesn’t always work in print. I smiled when I wrote it, so I guess it worked for me.
