TGIF Wild Card — 1.27.12

I'm holding my breath hoping against hope that Boss Denney & Stormin' Norman are foolish enough to continue pushing their lawsuit to oust the fair-minded redistricters they originally appointed. 'Tis great political theater in the dying days of winter, two GOP leaders trying to jury-rig legislative boundaries to improve their already overwhelming advantage in the state Legislature. Any day now, we might have to send Phil Batt back into the fray to clean up the mess that the current band of Idaho GOP leaders are creating. With that happy thought, I'll post the final Wild Card of the work week …

    For norther & powderfarmer,

    OK, Here’s the mix,

    Equal parts

    Peppercorn
    Crushed Black Pepper
    Red Chili Powder
    Habanero Powder / Substitute Cayenne powder if you can’t get the Habanero

    Mix thoroughly and apply to flower boxes, property lines, under apple trees etc. He said it keep the critters away without killing the plant. He also said tho wash your hand thoroughly after handling or be careful where you scratch…

    {He added that if you wanted added kick you could also put in a little gun powder……. :-)……..}

    I wondered where this pepper talk came from, now I know. I’ll be writing this recipe down also, tired of the stupid cats tearing up my flower beds in the summer. If you own a cat, keep it on your own property or come by each morning and fix their messes on your neighbors property.

    Can it be that easy to make/place anti-critter stuff for the garden, trees and shrubs?

    @greenlibertarian

    Believe me I’ve seen it work. Cats H.A.T.E. the stuff. And reports are the deer aint too fond of it either.

    BTW, as I said in the other thread, my pup avoids any area that’s been seasoned with that home brew….

    Under the new districts, can anyone tell me what one Bayview and Athol are in. Is it 2 or 4? Who is the incumbent, if any? The map that was published didn
    t do a very good job of separating the two.
