Crash Kills Spokane Officer From PF

A Spokane police officer was killed when he was struck by a pickup truck after being thrown from his motorcycle in a crash on state Highway 200 near Clark Fork. The Idaho State Police are looking for the driver of the pickup that struck 47-year-old Kurt P. Henson of Post Falls at about 10:20 p.m. Tuesday. Authorities say Henson was riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle with 43-year-old Kimberly Lenox of Post Falls as his passenger when he struck an abrupt edge in a construction zone. Both were thrown from the motorcycle. Henson was not wearing a helmet. An ISP news release does not indicate whether Lenox was wearing a helmet. A Dodge pickup following the motorcycle struck both Henson and the bike. The ISP says the driver of the truck fled the scene. The truck was described as a 2001 Dodge 1500 pickup/Spokesman-Review.
