Greek Gets Boot For Racist Remarks

In this June 29 file photo, Greece's Voula Papachristou lands in the sand after her jump at the Women's Triple Jump final at the European Athletics Championships in Helsinki, Finland. The Hellenic Olympic Committee has removed Papachristou from Greece's 2012 Olympic team over comments she made on twitter making fun of African immigrants and expressing support for a far-right party. For better and for worse, the 2012 Olympics are being shaped, shaken and indisputably changed by social media sites such as Twitter, whose immediacy and public nature has added a new and chaotic element to the Games. Question: Should someone be booted from her country's Olympics team for making racist remarks and supporting a far right party on Twitter?
