Dino: Gangs Are Moving In To CdA

Dinosaur Man: I’ve spoken with cops downtown who couldn’t tell a Suerno from a IPO (Indian Power Organization), or a Piru (associated with the IPO) from a Norteno. I’ve even spoken with CDA’s gang enforcement expert, who I respect as the only one in the force with his finger on the problem. He even told me his street officers were severely under-informed when it came to gangs. He said back when it was just the Crips infiltrating it wasn’t that bad, but now there are new gangs drifting in every year and the problem is the worst it’s ever been in CDA. He acknowledged we’re not near as bad as some of the towns in central WA or OR, but he doesn’t want this town to get any worse.

Question: Do you think Coeur d'Alene has a bad gang problem?
