Timeless Asks Mary Hydro Question

Interesting exchange on Coeur d'Alene Press Online thread re: Mike Patrick's editorial, Wednesday ("From the recall ashes"):

  • Timeless: "You have no problem thumbing your nose at 2 (past) PUBLIC VOTES BANNING THE HYDROPLANE RACES, by simply moving them just outside the City limits. Why aren't you STANDING UP FOR THE WISHES OF THE CITIZENS OF CDA? Where is the outrage?! Oh yeah, because your husband is on the committee that is bringing the hydroplane races back to CDA Lake, there will be no outrage from you. I am not adverse to the hydroplane races returning, particularly. But I am adverse to your double standard when it suits your personal agenda.
  • Mary Souza: Anytime there's an article about the hydroplanes, I'll be happy to discuss that topic on an appropriate thread. This is not it.
  • Entertaining Press thread here.

DFO: Talking Point for HBO Truth Squad on Press thread: The recall & hydroplanes are related issues because both involve discussion of an advisory vote. Mary demanded an advisory vote for McEuen Field upgrades but she seems unconcerned about the two public votes against hydroplane racing. Of course, it's possible that Mary's against the races while her husband serves on a committee for them.

Question: Now that the recall is over shouldn't Mary & the community be addressing the next political tsunami headed our way. After all, her attempted overthrow of City Hall government is so ... last Monday now?
